Design Requirements For Facing Stone

1. The materials used for stone finishing shall comply with the national product standards. The natural stones used in the same project shall be the rocks of the same ore source and the same layer as far as possible. The color and pattern of stones with the same name may vary greatly, and the selection of materials should be based on the large sample.
2. The direction of stone texture should be indicated in the design of natural stone finish, and stone processing drawings should be drawn for important projects. The factory processes according to the drawing number, and carries out pre-assembly, pattern checking, color selection, size checking, etc. according to the design.
3. Granite mirror panels are not suitable for outdoor floors and steps.
4. Marble is generally not suitable for outdoor use and parts in contact with acid.
5. Natural stone should not be used on indoor and outdoor floors where water use frequency is high and secondary water storage test must be carried out, such as toilets, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, so as to avoid the occurrence of alkali, rust, water stains and other phenomena.
6. The ground stone should be coated with stone surface protective agent to prolong the service life of the stone. According to the types, positions and functional requirements of stone materials, different protective agents are selected, such as antifouling, oil-proof, waterproof, transparent, color-enhanced, permeable, impermeable, etc.
7. When the pollution-resistant cave stone, sandstone, cultural stone and other stones are used for the floor, wall and column surface, the stone protective agent shall be painted. When the stone plate is used on the ground, in addition to applying protective agent, the hole shall be filled with special stone adhesive before applying protective agent.
8. Stone stairs should be made of stone with good bending resistance, granite with good wear resistance and low water absorption should be selected. The thickness of the step panel or the edge of the step panel should not be less than 30mm, and anti-skid design should be made.
9. The design of the stone veneer at the deformation joint (seismic joint, settlement joint) shall ensure the deformation function of the deformation joint and the integrity and beauty of the finish.
